Blackened Copper Flower

To make this earrings, I start with two different circles cut from copper sheet metal. The circles are then hammered with a couple of my favorite hammers to give the circles more depth. The circles are then drilled, domed and soldered together with the sterling silver balls. They are then cleaned, applied patina and polished to a high shine. I then hand form the flowers a little more to give it more of an organic look and add the sterling silver earring wires.
